Tech Bureau is run by its director, Alex, who has spent 22 years in software engineering, web design, IT consulting and data, and now helps businesses put AI to work, with a core team of 5 senior engineers and contractors. Every engagement is led by someone who writes code and reads query plans, rather than by an account manager who passes the work on.

We work in two ways: directly for a business, or as a subcontracted engineering team embedded alongside a client's own IT department. In both cases we work to the client's standards, and we leave behind the tests, documents and decision records that let the client's team carry on without us.

We build and run our own AI delivery tooling, and it is proven on client work before it becomes a service: the AI framework that took a software organisation to 81% of delivery executed by AI with every change reviewed, and the knowledge base that found the defects hiding between what a product should do and what it does.
