AI readiness assessment: two weeks, a baseline and a plan you keep.

Before anyone changes how your team works, you need to know where it stands. In two weeks we measure your delivery, your codebase and your documentation, rank the gaps, and hand you a plan. From $9,500 + GST, always paid, whether or not you go on to work with us.

What you get

A number for today, and the shortest path to a better one

Most AI initiatives fail for want of a before-picture: nobody can say afterwards whether anything improved. The assessment produces that picture, and the three things to change first.

  • Delivery baseline: lead time, throughput, rework and defect rate, measured from your own tickets and pipeline
  • Codebase readiness: standards, modular boundaries, test coverage, and whether an AI can work in it safely
  • Knowledge readiness: how much of what the product does is written down, and how much of that is right
  • Governance check: AI accounts, data handling, branch protection, traceability, against what your auditors will ask
  • Ranked gap map and plan: what to change first, what it costs, what it returns, in a report your team owns

The two weeks

Evidence first, then the plan

  1. Step 1

    Day 1 · Scope

Agree the questions the assessment must answer and the systems it may read.

  2. Step 2

    Days 2–7 · Measure

Tickets, pipeline, code, tests, documentation and interviews with the people who do the work.

  3. Step 3

    Days 8–10 · Rank

Gaps scored by impact and effort; findings checked with your leads before they are written down.

  4. Step 4

    Days 11–14 · Plan

The report, the plan and a working session with your team on what happens next.

Questions

What access do you need?
Read access to your ticketing system, source repositories, pipeline and documentation, and about four hours of interviews with leads and engineers. Nothing is changed, and access is removed when the two weeks end.
Is this a sales exercise for the bigger engagement?
No. It is priced and paid as a deliverable in its own right, and the plan is written so that your own team can carry it out. If we think you do not need us afterwards, the report says so.
What if we already use AI coding tools?
Then the baseline matters more, not less: the assessment measures what the tools have done for delivery and quality so far, which is usually the question nobody can answer.
Can you assess a system we inherited from a vendor?
Yes. The knowledge-readiness part is designed for exactly that case, and it often leads into a knowledge-base pilot on the areas nobody can explain.
